Confoco knows that ingredients suitable for inclusion in bakery products
must be bake stable, enabling them to maintain their shape, flavour and
texture at high temperatures.
As with the food industry in general, the bakery sector is coming under
increasing pressure to produce healthier products. With the focus on
reducing fat, salt and sugar content, Confoco has developed high fruit
inclusions which add natural sweetness or act as fat replacers.
Confoco was instrumental in the introduction of vitamin C rich acerola
powder into bread making, where it can be used as an alternative to
ascorbic acid as a dough enhancer. Acerola can be declared as a natural
additive as opposed to an E number.
Confoco's ingredients include a complete of berries with high fruit
contents, bake stable fruit pieces, high fibre date morsels and our real dairy
chips. Our wide selection of apple dices, slices and rings offer versatile
inclusions for bakes and cakes.
