Beverages - Dairy
|
 |
Beverage and dairy ingredients will typically be fruit purees or fine soluble
fruit powders giving rounded flavour and excellent mouth feel.
As with all other sectors of the food industry, health awareness has become
a significant factor in driving the product development of beverages.
Real fruit based drinks, such as smoothies, are becoming ever more popular as
an alternative way of increasing fruit consumption. The introduction of
functional foods has encouraged beverage manufacturers to source
ingredients with perceived health benefits.
With the introduction of luxury ice creams and yoghurt based drinks, fruit
ingredients are becoming a more exciting inclusion to add taste, texture and
temptation.
