Confoco's products are available in a range of moisture contents using a variety of dehydration
processes that include air, drum, freeze, juice infused, spray and vacuum drying.
Banana
Bananas are naturally rich in potassium, complex carbohydrates, natural
sugars, fibre, vitamins and minerals. Green banana flour can be used as a
substitute for wheat flour in products aimed at those who suffer from Coeliac
disease. Because of the favourable effects of banana on the digestive
system and its taste, which babies like, it is an ideal ingredient in baby food.
Mango
Mangoes are a rich source of vitamin A, as well as being a good source of
vitamins B and C. They have more carotenoids than most fruits, which can
help to ward off colds and reduce the risk of cancer and heart disease.
Pineapple
Pineapples are rich in bromelain, a group of enzymes that aid digestion by
breaking down protein. Furthermore, pineapple is an excellent source of the
trace mineral manganese, which is an essential cofactor in a number of
enzymes important in energy production and antioxidant defences.
